LONGOWAL, Sangrur: Parkash Singh Badal and his SAD (B) came under attack here on Sant Harchand Singh Longowal''s death anniversary. First, Congress minister Surinder Singla said Badal and other SAD (B) leaders had opposed Rajiv-Longowal Accord. Former state Congress president M S Gill said the Akalis were responsible for Punjab losing Shimla, Karnal and Kaithal.
Badal was misleading the Punjabis on the issue of SYL, Prem Singh Chandumajra, SAD (L) president, thundered. Union minister for rural development R P Singh said the SAD-BJP alliance was communal.
Addressing his partymen, Badal was equally bitter in saying that the Congress had never been faithful to Punjab.
He praised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti who was one of SAD''s invitees at the function.
